About Us
The Kick-Off Transition Program is a comprehensive transition, orientation and mentoring program welcoming new students and their parents to middle school and high school. Our experienced Kick-Off Trainers have worked with hundreds of schools all over the country and approximately 100,000 kids have gone through a Kick-Off Orientation Day, with that number growing every year.
By training upper-class mentors and running interactive orientation days right before the first day of school, the Kick-Off Transition Program creates positive year-long connections between upper-classmen and incoming students. This comprehensive year-long process helps ease the transition for new students and their parents.
The Kick-Off Transition Program creates a more spirited student body, promotes school safety, and creates positive and meaningful connections for every incoming student. This process opens channels of communication that make students feel more comfortable in a foreign environment and has proven to reduce school violence and bullying. The program's effects are still felt long after the Kick-Off Orientation Day, as the connections between the new student and mentor blossoms into a positive relationship throughout the year.
The Kick-Off Transition and Mentoring Program has been implemented in suburban, rural, and inner city schools and has worked with schools that have incoming classes ranging from 60 to 1200 students.
